Greater San Diego Support Groups

Currently Meeting in Encinitas, Palm Desert, and Mission Valley - see schedules below

If you are newly diagnosed or if this is your first contact with the Scleroderma Foundation, please contact Kelly at 619-655-4342 or email kellyd@sclerosd.org and she will assist you. 

Support Groups provide a forum to share feelings, concerns, information, and offer peer support and encouragement. Solicitations or research projects are not conducted at support group meetings. Groups are free of charge and open to everyone.

All meetings include open and interactive discussion. Some meetings feature speakers specializing in scleroderma or related topics as noted below. 

These schedules are subject to change. Before attending a group for the first time, please call or email to verify date and time and/or to obtain directions.

Encinitas

• February 1st
• April 5th - NO SUPPORT GROUP MEETING, as this is Education Day; visit this link for more details: EDUCATION
• June 7th - Susan Shane, L.Ac., author of Vitality Fusion, will discuss various ways to manage stress and stay vital. Susan will speak during the first hour, and the second hour will be open discussion. 
• July 5th Potluck/Picnic at Dusty Rhodes Park from 10:30am to 12:30pm
• August 2nd - Dr. Holly Hauser, Board Member and Medical Advisory Chair, will give her "Sclero Soup" Talk, the ABC's of the many tests patients need for effective diagnosis and care. Dr. Holly will speak during the first hour, and the second hour will be open discussion. 
• October 4th
• December 6th - NO SUPPORT GROUP MEETING, as this is the End of Year Party
