Mysterious Symptoms

I struggled with unexplained illnesses for twenty years until being diagnosed with scleroderma in 2010.

It never occurred to me that I might have an illness. I was diagnosed with a platelet disorder in 2005, so was blaming that and the necessary drug for how I felt. I am now learning to honor my body and how I feel. I cherish my fellow sufferers and they deserve badges of courage. In spite of the health care system giving the scientific explanations and a necessary surgery on my hand, I only found meaningful support at the local chapter in Denver. Its so hard to have been so active and now so sickly. But again, I honor who I am and know that I am doing my best.
