Enter the Second Annual Sclerodoodle Contest!

Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 12

Penelope WolfeIt’s time to get your crayons, markers, paints and other art supplies ready to create a masterpiece for our Second Annual Sclerodoodle Contest!

Since 2013 marks the Scleroderma Foundation’s 15th Anniversary, this year’s theme is “15 Years of Fighting.” We’re looking for your drawings, paintings, watercolors or sketches that take the word “scleroderma” and create a piece of artwork using the theme as your guide. You’ll then need to submit it to us in a digital format such as PDF, JPG, PNG or TIF.

The grand prizewinner’s artwork will appear on special gear for 2013’s Scleroderma Awareness Month that will be available in our online CafePress store. And, he/she also will receive a full scholarship to attend the 2013 or 2014 National Patient Education Conference, including conference registration and accommodations for two nights. (An estimated value of more than $2,000.) Second and third place winners also will have his/her artwork appear on special wearable items available to purchase online.

How to Submit

To submit, email Mary Ann Berman at maberman@scleroderma.org. You have until 5 p.m. Eastern on Friday, April 12, to submit your art. (Sorry! Absolutely no late entries!) The contest is open only to those living in the U.S. and Canada. Paid employees of the Scleroderma Foundation and its chapters or affiliates are not eligible to enter. Previous winners are ineligible. Only one entry per person.

Voting Process

The 2013 National Patient Education Conference Committee will review all of the artwork that has been submitted. The group will select the top three finalists, where your online votes will select this year’s grand prizewinner. This year, you will be limited in the number of votes you may cast each day. Voting is open noon Monday, April 22, through noon Friday, April 26.  The doodle with the most popular online votes will be the grand prizewinner.
