Spark Awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension
Raise pulmonary hypertension awareness when you talk on Zoom or Skype to family, friends, and colleagues. If you’re in a PH Support Group, use a virtual background to show your connection with PH.
Whether you’re using virtual meeting software for work, book club, or happy hours, use a PH Awareness Month background image to trigger questions and share information about PH.
Start the conversation with your choice of backgrounds. Visit the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) interactive PH Awareness Month calendar to download a background.

#CaregiverAnd
#CaregiverAnd, the 2021 theme for National Family Caregivers Month, encourages you, the family caregiver, to celebrate the identities and passions that enrich your life. Far too often your role as a family caregiver overshadows your identity and emphasizes the care you provide for your loved one. Being a family caregiver is incredibly important, but it is critical not to lose sight of who you are. Your sense of self makes your life complete. This is an essential component of self-care that can ultimately prevent caregiver burnout and depression. #CaregiverAnd shifts that focus by highlighting the other roles, activities, and passions that make up your life.

Connecting with Others
Even during a pandemic it's important to connect with others who have scleroderma to provide mutual support and to learn coping strategies and exchange other helpful information. Currently, to protect the health of individuals who have scleroderma, it is the policy of Scleroderma Foundation that there be no in-person meetings for support groups and other activities. However, many support groups have gone virtual. Visit our support group page to find a group near you, then contact the group leader to request the meeting link.
