Registration Now Open for World Scleroderma Day Virtual Walk
To commemorate World
Scleroderma Day on June 29, 2017,
the National Office of the Scleroderma Foundation is once again
hosting a VIRTUAL “Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma”
walk-a-thon! Last year's event raised more than $12,000 for the Foundation's programs and services.
The National World Scleroderma Day Virtual Walk is connected to “Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma”, the Foundation’s premier fundraising event.
Unfortunately, “Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma” walks
do not occur in every city across America. But it is important to the Foundation that everyone has an opportunity
to participate in the walk in some way. It is an easy and fun
way to make a difference by raising funds for those living with scleroderma.
Before you begin planning your
Virtual Walk, check and see if there is a local walk
near you. Many of our 20 chapters are hosting
walks this year and even have their own virtual component in the event you cannot
attend. We do encourage you to
participate locally whenever possible.

We are pleased to announce a newly designated scleroderma research center. University of Cincinnati Medical Center's CTD-ILD and Scleroderma Clinic has been added to our growing list.
To be designated as a scleroderma center on our website,
institutions must:
- Demonstrate expertise in the care of patients with scleroderma
- Conduct scleroderma research (clinical and or observational and/or laboratory-based)
- Conduct educational activities about scleroderma, and provide
information about the advances in the care and treatment of patients
with scleroderma to health care professionals and the public.
All institutions designated as a center have been reviewed by the Scleroderma Foundation's Medical and Scientific Advisory Board to ensure patients are provided with knowledgeable resources about diagnosis, care and research.
