This informal event is designed to allow patients to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. You may provide your question in advance and remain anonymous if you prefer. Our two guest physicians will do their best to give you helpful tips and informative answers.
Elana Bernstein, MD
Dr. Elana Bernstein graduated from Amherst College and was a medical student at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She performed her internship and residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the recipient of the American College of Rheumatology Distinguished Fellow Award and the Charles L. Christian Award for Excellence in Musculoskeletal Research while a rheumatology fellow at Hospital for Special Surgery. Her clinical and research interests focus on scleroderma ad other fibrosing disorders as well as on the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease in patients with autoimmune disorders. Dr. Bernstein’s practice is located at Columbia University Medical Center. In addition, she is an Instructor of Medicine at Columbia and an Assistant Attending at NY-Presbyterian.
Valentina Lyssova, DDS
Dr. Valentina Lyssova received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. She graduated at the top of her class and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Dental Honor Society. Upon graduating from NYUCD, she decided to pursue a career in Prosthodontics.
After an intensive 3 year Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics atNYUCD, Dr. Lyssova continued her education at world renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and became a Maxillo-Facial Prosthodontist. To solidify her surgical skills, she completed a high intensity training in implant surgery and advanced bone grafting procedures at the Columbia University School of Medicine.
